The famous scenic valley is often called "the heart" of California's Yosemite National Park and is surrounded by the landmarks of El Capitan, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and Bridalveil Fall. Yosemite Valley is a California Historic Landmark and is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
