About Science North

Science North is an interactive museum located in the city of Greater Sudbury in Ontario, Canada and is the most popular attraction in northern Ontario. The building is a designed to look like two snowflakes that are connected by a rock tunnel which passes through a billion-year-old geologic fault, which was not discovered until after the building opened in 1984. The museum, designed by architect Raymond Moriyama, consists of an IMAX theater, Planetarium, Racetrack, exhibits and many educational shows and demonstrations. Science North is also home to a 20-metre fin whale skeleton recovered from Anticosti Island that hangs from the ceiling inside the main building.
