About Pointe-du-Hoc

This Normandy coast headland with a 100-foot cliff is between the D-Day beaches of Omaha and Utah. Pointe-du-Hoc's German fort was overtook by the United States Army during World War II's D-Day on June 6, 1944 as the rangers climbed the cliffs.
