About Otokar II Square

The main square of Ceske Budejovice features town hall, Samson‘s Fountain, Erratic boulder and the Zvon Hotel. Otokar II Square dates back to when the town was established in 1265 as it was a central meeting point. It was named after the founder of Ceske Budejovice - King Přemysl Otakar II. The public square is usually the first place tourists visit in the city.
