Wisconsin's largest city is situated along Lake Michigan and is known for its culture, festivals and breweries. Milwaukee has long been a home for Native American tribes and its name comes from either the Potawatomi or Ojibwe languages. Alexis Laframboise first established a trading post there in 1785. The city boasts to have the world's largest music festival with the 11-day Summerfest featuring more than 800 acts attracting approximately 900,000 people. Milwaukee attractions include the Milwaukee Art Museum, Pabst Mansion, Miller Park, Grohmann Museum and the Harley-Davidson Museum.
