The Southern California maritime city incorporated in 1888 sits along the Pacific Ocean bordering Los Angeles and features many nautical attractions including the Art Deco RMS Queen Mary ocean liner, Aquarium of the Pacific, El Dorado Nature Center, Municipal Fly Casting Pool and gondola rides. Long Beach is the second busiest container port in the United States and its city council designated it the "Aquatic Capital of America."
