Cleveland is one of the most populous cities in the state of Ohio and is located on the southern shore of Lake Eerie. The city was founded in 1796 and was a manufacturing center due to the city being located so close to the lake shore and for its many extensive railroad and canal lines. The city's variety of neighborhoods incorporate industrial architecture and cultural influence. Cleveland has a Warehouse District that is mostly occupied by industrial and office buildings and Downtown Cleveland is home to the Cleveland Theater District, including the district's Playhouse Square Center. Cleveland is also home to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, which is dedicated to archiving music history and exhibits some of the most successful and renowned musical professionals that have impacted the music industry, which include the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Chuck Berry and many more.
