The water waters here are rich in sulfur, silica, and minerals that have been dredged up from 2,000 metres below the surface of the earth which a mixture of fresh and saltwater that's been heated at extreme temperatures. Due to the combination of silica, algae & minerals, the surface of the lagoon appears blue when it reflects sunlight, however it is actually white when not exposed to sunlight.
