Seeing the crowds on the day, I'm pretty sure getting into and through the Vatican museums/Sistine chapel/st Paul's is impossible during the summer without a tour guide. Angelica did a great job of navigating us to the most important parts ..and providing a thorough explanation. Matteo for the colliseum and capitaline/palatine tour had a large depth of knowledge and had on hand reconstruction images on his i-pad which was a nice professional touch.Read full review
My tour with Jan (Colosseum & Forum) was absolutely incredible. Learned so many unique facts and would recommend him to anyone going to Rome for the first time. I was not too familiar with Roman history, but have a better idea of what occur..red during a pivotal time in Italy.Read full review
The ticket was good value for money, the skip the line is well worth the money as at the Vatican there were people queuing for quite some time in the warm Italian sun.
guides are great! Itinerary best for first timers. we enjoyed our trip except for the hotels chosen in italy, it is a disappointment. it shouldnt be labeled as a 3 star hotel.

The only gripe that I have, is with the hotel amenities. The first is, some showers were simply a trickle on full trotle, and lastly a more harmful treat, sudden cut-in and cut-out of cold or very hot water as though the mixture you adjuste..d suddenly don't work anymore.Read full review
