Day 1: Adelaide to Mt. Remarkable National Park
Escape the city and head north for the first stretch of your Adelaide to Perth camping tour. Claim a sandy patch of pristine beach for yourself at Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula. Soak up the sun, then continue along the coast to the seaside town of Port Germein, where you can stroll along South Australia's longest jetty, built in 1881.

This afternoon, arrive at Mt. Remarkable National Park in the Southern Flinders Ranges to set up camp before an afternoon bushwalk. Relax with your new travel companions over dinner. Then kick back and enjoy front-row seats to one of Earth's most spectacular light shows as you roll out your swag under a blanket of stars twinkling stars. Today, travel approximately 320km.

Along the way, we'll see Kimba's unique silo art and wind towards the wildly beautiful Eyre Peninsula after a quick pitstop to buy lunch.

Test your sandboarding skills in epic dunes before unearthing a magical seaside cave at Talia. Arrive at Coodlie Park Farm Retreat for a barbecue feast and spend the night in a unique swag hut. Today, travel approximately 450km.

Day 3: Baird Bay and Penong
This morning, embark on one of the tour's highlights: a three-hour cruise swimming with wild sea lions and majestic dolphins in the sheltered waters of Baird Bay. Eco-Accredited Baird Bay Eco Tours operates this magical optional experience, and it's important to note that these creatures are neither fed nor interfered with, ensuring an authentic and respectful encounter. Head out on a small boat into the calm waters of Baird Bay to Jones Island, home of a wild colony of Australian Sea Lions. Once moored, pop on a snorkel swim in the rock pools. Before long, some curious and playful sea lions will likely come to take a closer look, twisting, twirling and splashing around you. When you think this day couldn't get any better, you will also have the opportunity to swim with wild, magical bottlenose dolphins!

Following a picnic lunch, peel on a wetsuit for a two-hour learn-to-surf lesson on a pristine beach with Streaky Bay Surf School. Those not wanting to surf can relax, swim or wander the shores. After a big day, arrive in Penong, an outback town famous for its dozens of windmills.  Today, travel approximately 340km.

Day 4: Nullarbor and the Great Australian Bight
Today, we begin the epic pilgrimage across the Nullarbor Plain. Keep your cameras at the ready for iconic photo opportunities at the famous camels, kangaroos and wombats crossing road sign before we make our way to the edge of Australia, where the outback drops dramatically into the Southern Ocean. Stretching approximately 200 kilometres along the Great Australian Bight, Bunda Cliffs are the world's longest continuous line of sea cliffs. Breathe deep and take it all in.

Stop at the iconic Nullarbor Roadhouse, marvel at the ruins of an old telegraph station and, come late afternoon, cross the border into Western Australia. Tonight's entertainment is courtesy of the celestial sphere bush camping under the southern skies on the Nullarbor.  Today we'll travel around 800km with plenty of stops along the way.

Accommodation: Bush camping on the Nullarbor with no facilities.

Day 5: Nullarbor to Cape Le Grand National Park
Today, we continue across the mighty Nullarbor, taking in Australia's longest straight road, 90 Mile Straight. Visit the outback town of Balladonia, which shot to worldwide fame in 1979 when the Skylab space station returned to Earth here rather abruptly. Watch the ever-changing landscapes from your window as your guide regales the history and stories that make this land unique.

By afternoon, turquoise water will replace red dirt as we head towards Esperance. Enjoy some free time in town before a swim at one of the region's many incredible beaches. Soon, we'll arrive in the paradise of Cape Le Grand National Park, our base, for two nights. Today travel around 600km.

Accommodation: Swag camping at Lucky Bay which has shower and toilet facilities.

Day 6: Cape Le Grand National Park
Crystal clear waters, powdery, white sands, expansive granite bluffs, and sunbathing kangaroos. Pristine and perfect are two words that reflect the absolute beauty of Cape Le Grand National Park. The ocean here is transparent, and the sand at Lucky Bay has twice been judged Australia's whitest. Strap on your hiking boots to embark on one of the best hikes of the tour, climbing Frenchman Peak for sweeping views across Cape Le Grand and Recherche Archipelago. Then, spend the remainder of the day unearthing this incredible park. Traverse through lush bushland on one of many hikes, swim at fantastic bays and coves and learn about its abundant flora and fauna.

We drive only 10 minutes today, and walks will vary from 2-4 hours.

Wander onto the beach to say hello before we head to Esperance for a quick coffee stop and settle in for a day of driving through the ever-changing landscapes. Refuel with a lunch stop at one of the many outback towns, spot some silo art and then settle in at our camp in the beautiful Stirling Ranges. Today, travel approximately 520km.

Accommodation: Swag camping at a private campground at Mt Trio in the Stirling Ranges, which has shower and toilet facilities.

Day 8: Stirling Ranges & South West Coast
After breakfast, travel to the Porongorups, which rise from the landscape like an island. Over 1,100 million years in the making, the striking granite outcrop of Castle Rock invites you to walk its 670-metre peak through tall Karri and Marri tree forest and take in the jaw-dropping view from the suspended Granite Skywalk.

Hop back on the bus for a dreamy coastal drive towards Albany. We'll stop at The Gap and Natural Bridge before continuing to the turquoise and calm waters of Elephant Rocks. Then, just up the road, descend into Greens Pool, a white sandy beach framed by huge granite boulders, primed for swimming in the warmer months. From the coast to the forest, walk among the old-growth forests of the Walpole Wilderness Region with the last stop of the day at the largest Tingle Tree in Western Australia. Travel approximately 390km today.

Feeling like you have made a positive contribution, it's time to taste your way around the world-renowned Margaret River region. First, stop for a well-deserved lunch and beer paddle at Wild Hop Brewery before unearthing an array of cellar doors from wine to gin to dairy to sweet treats. Today travel around 240km.

Special Notes

    • General:
    • Do this trip if you're looking for more than just a bus from Adelaide to Perth. This is the ultimate Australian adventure tour!If you're unsure which direction to take this trip in, the main difference between the itineraries is that in this direction, we miss Port Lincoln and the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia and instead spend the time exploring the Margaret River region south of Perth. On the Perth to Adelaide tour, we skip Margaret River and Albany, instead travelling from Perth to Wave Rock and into Esperance. Once we have crossed the Nullarbor, we then spend some time on the Eyre Peninsula.
    • To get the most from our adventure tours, you need to enjoy the outdoors and hiking and be able to cope with a range of weather conditions. Our guides work hard and sometimes need a helping hand, so we kindly ask for involvement from our passengers, such as helping with meals and packing up camp.
    • A moderate fitness level is required, with walks between 3-12 kilometres on some days. This may involve rough ground and perhaps getting wet.
    • Please advise of any special dietary requirements when you book. We offer plenty of variety and do our best to provide fresh products. Snacks, soft drinks and alcohol are not included.
    • Due to limited space in the trailer, bags are restricted to 1 × 15 kg backpack/soft travel bag per person, plus one small piece of hand luggage for on the bus.
    • All passengers must complete online check-in, including a "Fit for Travel" self-declaration to confirm they are illness-free. This is mandatory and must be completed at the latest 24 hours before departure.
    • This tour requires a minimum of four people to operate. In the unlikely event your departure is cancelled because minimum numbers have not been met, we will transfer all monies paid onto a future departure date. If this is not suitable, we will refund your tour price in full.
    • Itinerary changes may occur to ensure we provide the best possible experience. Weather conditions in Australia can change quickly, and our experienced guides will always put the safety of our passengers first. Any itinerary changes will be communicated to the Group in advance.
    • Accommodation & Camping:
    • Camping on this tour is at a mixture of national parks and campgrounds. All campgrounds have basic toilet and shower facilities except one night when we bush camp on the Nullarbor.
    • When camping, we use single swags. Swags are "Aussie Bed Rolls" made from sturdy canvas with a mattress built into the swag.
    • Sleeping bags – we prefer passengers to provide their own sleeping bag and pillow to insert into the swag. However, this tour has an option if you don't have one to purchase a new 0-degree sleeping bag for $50. Alternatively, you can hire a used one for $20. These options need to be added to your cart at the time of booking. We donate old and unused sleeping bags to a homeless charity, ensuring they go to good use after their time with us.
    • Our wet weather option is tents shared by the group.
    • In the unlikely event of an extreme weather event, alternative accommodation may be sourced. In this case, the accommodation costs incurred will be shared 50/50 between us and each passenger.
    • Optional extra adventures:
    • On this tour, there is one amazing optional extra that passengers can decide to add to their tour. Swim with wild sea lions and dolphins at Baird Bay on a three-hour cruise with all equipment and morning tea provided. You can find all the details below in the Optional Extras section. This experience can fill up, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
