Today we'll take a hike up Mt John where we'll get 360-degree views of the Southern Alps before soaking our tired muscles in some hot pools.

Wanaka

AORAKI/MOUNT COOK

We'll enjoy a scenic drive through the southern alps towards Tekapo. Knownfor its milky turquoise hue, Lake Tekapo is analpine oasis! This afternoon we'll stretch ourlimbs hiking the iconic Hooker Valley track.This walk winds us through the valley to grant unforgettable views of Aoraki/Mt Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand.

Wanaka

DISCOVER WANAKA

Today we'll check out the highlights of Wanaka, including going kayaking on the stunning Lake Wanaka and discovering the famous Wanaka Tree. We' ll later hike up Mount Iron for stunning views of the local area including The Pisa range, Upper Clutha Basin and the mesmerising Southern Alps.

Today we'll travel to the beautiful city of Queenstown.

Leaving Queenstown, today we're heading to the majestic Milford Sound. We'll hop on a boat to cruise around the fjord, feeling tiny amongst sheer cliff faces, ancient forests, and plunging waterfalls.

Day 08
Queenstown

JET BOATING

Hotel: NOMADS HOSTEL or similar

Today we'll show you around stunning Queenstown with an orientation walk. The good news is that our first jolt of adrenaline isn't far off, as this afternoon we'll be zipping through Canyonson a jet boat going over 80 km/h. Tonight we'll get together one last time for our farewell dinner.

• If you cancel on the start date of the Tour or any time thereafter (including by leaving the Tour) or you do not show up for the Tour, you will be liable to pay the Fee in full and no refund will be made to you.

Special Notes

    • We always recommend travelling with a backpack and packing light! 10-20kgs of stuff should be plenty. We will be using mainly trains for transport so dragging around a huge suitcase is not much fun. Depending on your onward travel plans there is luggage storage at the airports or at some accommodations if needed.
    • Please bring all valuable items with you at all times. Do not leave valuable items on the bus or at the hotel, attraction, or restaurant. Tours4Fun, local operators, drivers, and tour guides are not responsible for any loss or theft at any location.
  • Depending on your arrival time, your hotel room may not be available until the afternoon. Most hotels allow check-in between 1:00pm-3:00pm, however some charge a fee for early check-in. Please check at the hotel desk to see if you may store your luggage at the hotel if you wish to explore the city on your own before check-in.
  • The time we mentioned in the itinerary is for reference only. Please refer to your guide on tour for the actual arrangement. The visiting order and duration might be changed according to actual and practical situation for better service.

* Prices for Double/Triple/Quad Occupancy apply when two/three/four people stay in one standard hotel room respectively. 
* For solo traveller, you will be in a room with someone of the same gender. If you want to live in private single room, please choose the upgrade to private room.

    1.Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a Receipt of Reservation via email.
    2. Within one to two business days of submitting your reservation you will receive a status update email from us. If you need to book an airline ticket, we recommend that you do so after you receive a confirmation of your tour reservation from us.
    3. An E-Ticket will be sent to you via email as soon as details of your reservation are confirmed or your supporting information is received by us. We will provide you with all detailed information about your tour on the E-Ticket. Contact information for local tour provider will be included on E-Ticket for your convenience or re-confirmation purpose if re-confirmation is required.
    4. Simply print your E-Ticket and present it with your valid photo ID on the day of your activity to your tour guide. Please remember E-Ticket is your proof of purchase.
